158 UK BAP species can be found in Northamptonshire. Many of these need to be monitored to ensure their existence into the future, while some require that their habitat is managed appropriately. Species Action Plans have been produced for two species, otter and water vole, for which action in addition to monitoring and habitat related measures is neccessary. A summary of these plans is shown here.
